What’s been happening? Good news On Saturday the Smithswood team and Chelmsley Wood Neighbourhood together with force traffic conducted an off-road bike operation. We successfully took a number of uninsured and none road legal bikes off the road and riders reported for driving offences. Locations patrolled using drones and off-road bikes: Colebank Park, Bluebell Park, Meridan Park, Babbs Mill, Kingshurst Park and the Castle Bromwich area.
Over the weekend, we have brought in three more people into custody. Two domestic offenders were brought in, one for a serious assault and the other was for harassment against a sister whereby over 300 calls were made.
The team also forced entry into an address where they located and arrested a male wanted recall to prison. He had been recalled due to displaying poor behaviour.
Your local officers were on a vehicle operation on 26th when they came across a vehicle that was currently SORN and was meant to be off the road. Officers seized the vehicle and had it recovered.
Officers carried out a Speedwatch in Selworthy and Wyckham Road following complaints of speeding from residents. Two warning letters have been issued to vehicles exceeding the 20mph limit.
On Tuesday 27th we had our very first Castle Bromwich Street Watch walk with our two lovely local volunteers, patrolling around Castle Bromwich. If you see them out and about, please say hello.
